Daily Prayer Outline for Protection from Temptation & Sin

1.Opening (Surrender & Dependence)
Father, I confess that temptation does not come from You (James 1:13). I am weak, but You are strong. Thank You that You will always provide a way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13). Today I choose to rely on You.

2.Eyes (What I Look At)
Lord, protect my eyes from looking at worthless things (Psalm 119:37). Help me turn my gaze away from sin and lift my eyes to You. May my eyes only look on what is pure, honorable, and true.

3.Ears (What I Listen To)
Father, guard my ears from lies, gossip, and voices that draw me away from You. Let me hear Your Word and Your Spirit’s whisper above all other voices. Help me be quick to listen to wisdom and slow to listen to evil.

4.Mouth (What I Speak)
Lord, set a guard over my mouth (Psalm 141:3). Keep me from speaking words that wound, deceive, or stir sin in myself or others. Let my mouth be filled with encouragement, truth, and praise.

5.Hands (What I Do)
Father, let my hands not be used to grasp sin, but to serve others and do good. Strengthen my hands to resist temptation and to hold fast to righteousness. Use my hands to build, bless, and heal.

6.Feet (Where I Go)
Lord, keep my feet from paths that lead to temptation. Order my steps in Your Word (Psalm 119:133). Lead me away from danger and toward places of peace, holiness, and fruitfulness.

7.Mind (What I Dwell On)
Father, renew my mind with Your truth (Romans 12:2). Cast down every thought that exalts itself against Christ. Let my mind dwell on what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

8.Closing (Victory in Christ)
Thank You, Lord, that no temptation is stronger than You (1 Cor. 10:13). Thank You that in Christ I am more than a conqueror. Keep me close to You today. Be my shield, my reward, and my escape.
