The Windows Of Heaven

Summary: Let’s think about windows today, not computer “Windows” but the old kind. Windows have diversity. • Large windows – bright and airy • Small windows – cute but with limited benefits • Stained glass windows – spiritual feelings • Heart shaped windows - romantic • Unusually shaped windows – second look • Round windows, rectangular windows, storm windows, solar windows, etc. Regardless of the size or shape, windows do three things: • They shut out – wind, dust, heat, bugs, etc. • They admit – air, light, etc. • They release – whatever is poured or thrown out – It’s in the Bible. Listen! Gen. 7:11-12 (not on screen): “In the 600th year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the 17th day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened, and the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.” Gen. 8:2 (not on screen): “The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven restrained.” Wow!
