I Wish You Wings

Speaker: Dan Crawford
Series: Exodus 19:3-8, Matthew 23:37, Isaiah 40:29-31, Psalm 55:4-6,

Summary: Several decades ago a singer by the name of Michael Johnson, sang, “A bird in a cage will forget how to sing, if you love me, give me wings.” The words appeal for freedom, being turned loose, allowed to enter the next phase of life. No phase last forever, thus the need for wings. I remind you of a definition. Interim: a time between ending and beginning again; between departure and arrival; temporary. By definition, an interim must end. It’s OK. I came here to leave. This is my next-to-the-last Sunday. So, in leaving, I Wish You Wings. Wings for moving on, for entering the next phase. The Bible has a lot to say about wings. I want to show you four of those things this morning. I wish all four for you.
