Kay K. Means Youth Minister Kay K. Means is Minister to Students at First Baptist Church, Lawton, Ok. Her family moved to the Lawton/Fort Sill area in 1975 when her father served as an Army Chaplain. Since that time, Kay has made this home and God has blessed in many ways. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1978 and continued her education at Cameron University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After working in the secular business world, God opened the doors for Kay to join the support staff of FBC in 1987 as Financial Controller. She held that position for 13 year until such time when her passion and love for students lead her to the position she currently holds at FBC as Minister to Students. Kay has worked with students at FBC for 25 years in a variety of roles, but now gets the total joy of working and leading them on a full time basis. She and her husband Philip live in east Lawton along with their two sons, Michael 22, who is a senior at Kansas State University and Kenton, 16, who is a Freshman at MacArthur High School. Kay’s “heaven on earth” is watching God teach, use, and grow students. Whether that is in experiencing God’s presence in worship, learning in study of His Word, serving on missions to others, having a blast at summer camps and just living everyday life together “In His Name”. |
