8. If a family member is deployed, how do I request a fee waiver?
"As a way of saying thank you to those who serve," Upward Sports will "sponsor any and every child who may have a parent or legal guardian who is currently deployed overseas." (any time during the dates of January 2, 2012 through March 3, 2012) A copy of orders is required to receive the registration fee waiver.

12. Why are assessment dates grade-specific?
To better serve you and your family, Upward basketball assessment nights at First Baptist Church are grade-specific to get you through assessments as easily and quickly as possible. This time allows us to focus on one grade bracket at a time with appropriate basketball goal heights. For the 2012 season cheerleading assessments are not grade-specific. Cheerleaders may attend any night of assessment, regardless of school grade level.

14. What if my child has never played sports or cheered before?
No problem. Upward is set up to serve all skill levels in each sport. We have children that were born with a basketball or pom in-hand and we have children that have never dribbled a ball or shouted. This is the place for them!
