Discover - Develop - Deploy

The mission of First Baptist Church is to make disciples by worshiping God, following Christ and serving people. Our mission and purpose flow from the Great commission Jesus gave to all of His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20 when He said: “19) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20) teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Knowing that every member is expected to give of their time, talents and treasures, First Baptist Church seeks to accomplish it’s mission by focusing on three important objectives: Discover – Develop – Deploy.

In all that we do we seek to Discover the Lost: Through outreach events we seek to discover those who are without a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Then through personal and corporate evangelism we seek to introduce them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We seek to Develop the Saved: Through our Life Group and Life University ministries, coupled with various age based and relational ministries, we desire to see those who have been saved grow and develop into fully mature followers of Jesus Christ.

We seek to Deploy the Disciple: Every believer should be deployed into this world with the Gospel in hand. At First Baptist Church every member is expected to give of their time, talents and treasures for the ongoing ministries of the church. Members of First Baptist Church are expected to serve in their giftedness and calling within a ministry of the church. They are also expected to be active in personal evangelism in their neighborhood and community coupled with a heart and active passion to assist in carrying message of salvation through missions around the world.
