About Our Church

 We were established as a church in August of 1901 and have been in the same two-block area of downtown Lawton ever since. While we are old in years, we are young in spirit. Our Sunday worship service has a blend of contemporary as well as traditional elements. Praise teams, music ensembles, a full choir and an orchestra all contribute and blend as we lift our praises to God.

We have Sunday School or nursery care for children from birth to grade 6. Our Ministry to Students has Bible study in departments for 6th - 8th graders and then our 9th – 12th graders are grouped together in a newly remodeled multi-media center. We offer separate departments for transition and college up to age 23, a young career department, as well as Adult Bible Study for all ages, both couples classes and men's or women's groupings.

On any given Sunday morning, we have up to 700 people in attendance for Bible study and worship. While large in comparison to the average Baptist church in this area, our department and class groupings give attendees a small-group atmosphere where you can be a part of the family of God. For those unable to attend our services on Sunday morning, we have a live television broadcast on KSWO Channel 7, from 11:00 – 12:00.

Sunday afternoon from 4:30– 5:30 p.m., we have adult studies, Youth Choir, and Children’s Mission Groups followed by a light supper and a 6:15 prayer/worship time.  Wednesday evenings, we have Bible study, fellowship meal, prayer meetings, children's choirs and recreation, adult studies, adult choir rehearsal, and student ministry worship called JAM.

While we cannot be all things to all people, we can meet the needs and interests of many. It is our strong desire that we will have the opportunity to minister to you. Come and join us as we strive to be the people of God.
